NEXT Steps is extremely pleased to launch our Friends Of Atwood Community Garden Club. We are also proud of our accomplishment in becoming a recognized community partner of Hands On Atlanta and United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta.

 

Friends of Atwood Community Garden Club

Community gardening is an immensely satisfying and enriching experience that requires the support and development of a strong network.  The Friends of Atwood Community Garden Club is being developed to assist NEXT Steps plan, design and implement the big plans we have for managing Atwood Community Gardens and maintaining it in the long-term. We want to demonstrate the broad range of considerations that will contribute to the long-term viability of each garden project.  We also want to draw upon the experiences of successful community gardeners and community-based natural resource management practices.

Hands On Atlanta

Hands On Atlanta works with community groups through the referral agency program and Civic Partnership Program. These programs allow us to connect volunteers to program needs in the community.

Our staff workw with organizations to identify their most pressing needs, create projects to bridge gaps and deploy teams of volunteers to make a difference. Becoming a partner will allow you to take advantage of our website to connect your needs with a pool of local and national volunteers.
