A New Partnership With The Grady High School Business & Entrepreneur Academy
On January 5, 2012 the Business & Entrepreneur Academy launched the Knights Armory – the student led school store. The goal was to meet academic standards of the Entrepreneurial Ventures course of the Small Business Development Career Pathway curriculum. Mentors from The NEXT Steps Youth Entrepreneur Program (NEXT Steps) were brought in to observe and provide guidance on how the student management team could increase sales, traffic, and the presence of the school store among their peers. NEXT Steps was also instrumental in helping the student managers create business plan, operations and marketing strategies for the school store, improve their student-to-student communications, and enhance their understanding of economics and the functions of management.
