Atlanta Business Journal – A new Atlanta organization wants to build 48 custom websites for 48 different nonprofits in 48 hours — and all for free. Spearheaded by Dragon Army CEO Jeff Hilimire and Sideways8 CEO Adam Walker, 48in48 is set for Oct. 2-4 in General Assembly Atlanta at Ponce City Market. Each website will have its own look and feel, custom designed with WordPress as each nonprofit will get an estimated value of services of $25,000.
To build 48 websites in 48 hours, more than 250 volunteers are needed. 48in48 plans to assign two developers and one designer to each nonprofit along with several other UX designers, content writers and digital professionals pitching in across multiple projects.
