Leadership Path

Becoming a Nonprofit Member of the STEM Direct Youth Chamber of Commerce means joining a network of mission-driven individuals focused on using their time, skills and resources to create impact solutions that address, reduce and/or eliminate the negative impact of socio-economic conditions affecting their communities.

Membership includes a 1-Year subscription with the Community On Demand™  Virtual Connections Mentoring & Career Development Platform (powered by Pathful Connect).  Nonprofit members are also eligible to create, host and sponsor project-based learning experiences, post and advertise career-building opportunities, verify and award digital badges and micro-credentials, and request scholarships, donations and funding from the Community On Demand™ Student Stipend and Impact Project Funds.

Introduces the functionality of each of the components that make up the Community On Demand™ game set and how they are used to strategically map out the capacity building processes that fuel our creative economy.  It also gives detailed instructions on how to conduct a skills self-assessment, calculate the value of a participant’s contributions to society, and complete the four levels of game play.

Worksheets like The Strategists Mindset, Critical Thinking Approaches, and the STEAM Skills Self-Assessment give community members their own Community On Demand™ learning experience and introduces the types of outputs and outcomes they can produce collectively in their effort to create purpose-built communities.

Includes Nonprofit Membership

Introduces  worksheets like The Strategists Mindset, Critical Thinking Approaches, and the STEAM Skills Self-Assessment to help local leaders strategically map out the capacity building process and create purpose-built communities. It also uses The STEAM Investigative Process and The Stakeholder’s Dilemma as an interconnected “problem-solving” system to teach individuals and groups how to acknowledge various mindsets, leverage existing local resources, and produce high quality, effective and optimized outputs.

Results of this workshop:

  1. Expands the functionality of the STEAM Skills Self-Assessment as a tracking, measuring and reporting tool and how it is used to capture and report trend data
  2.  Creates effective community outreach and engagement strategies, produce meaningful results, and strengthen the overall impact a group can make towards addressing, improving and sustaining the health and wellness of their local economy.

Includes Intro To The Creative Economy

We use the results of the Stakeholder’s Dilemma to demonstrate how the STEAM Investigative Process and Community On Demand™ game set can be used to populate a gamified version of the LEAN Canvas Business Model in order to:

  1. Strategically design, build, monitor, evaluate, and optimize the outputs and outcomes of projects and programs that focus specifically on six key socio-economic conditions that affect the health and wellness of a community.
  2. Research, design, plan, coordinate and evaluate a business development strategy and ultimately produce a written plan of action.

Completion of this course awards certification as a STEAM Investigative Process Instructor
