Priority Stage 1. Assessment

  • Gain an understanding of all the major potential sources of positive and negative socio-economic conditions and environmental concerns
  • Look at the routes of exposure to a particular socio-economic condition,
  • Estimate cumulative impact
  • Understand sensitivities or vulnerabilities of the affected population.
  • Develop a qualitative comparison

Priority Stage 2. Implementation

  • Conduct a feasibility study
  • Document interest and commitment of key stakeholders to affect a particular change,
  • Determine the potential to leverage local efforts and new sources of funding,
  • Estimate and project the momentum to be gained through the completion of a work-based learning project
  • Incorporate the relevant resources from the Local Contributor Network and other potential risk reduction activities to successfully implement an impact solution

Priority Stage 3. Measurement & Evaluation

  • Use Community On Demand skills assessment tools and other training materials to track and evaluate the changes (before and after results) of your environmental health status and skills development
  • Create presentation models to effectively and clearly communicate how you defined the nature and extent of the problems in your community
  • Determine what the biggest/most serious problems in your community are
  • Create a compilation of your findings to creatively publicize the biggest or most serious problems in your community (special events, workshops, fairs, cooking demos, etc.)
  • Conclude if your efforts and impact solutions were successful and what your next steps should be to sustain and build upon them
