Critical Thinking Activity
Use this experience to develop a TRU Capabilities Report summarizing the skills you used and the impact you made during your Bag of Chips STEAM Investigative Process. Upload your completed TRU Capabilities Report and answer the following reflection questions.
Step 1: Upload Your Completed TRU Capabilities Report
- Ensure your TRU Capabilities Report is fully completed with details on the skills you applied and the impact you created.
- Upload the file as an attachment or share a clear screenshot in your discussion post.
Step 2: Answer the Reflection Questions (3-5 sentences per question)
What challenges did you face while planning your event, and how did you overcome them?- Describe any obstacles (e.g., time management, resource limitations, unexpected changes).
– Explain what steps or problem-solving strategies you used to address these challenges.
– Which skills did you find most valuable, and how will you continue to develop them? - Identify 2-3 skills from your TRU Capabilities Report that were critical to your success.
– Share how you plan to refine or enhance these skills in future projects.
– Did teamwork and collaboration impact your ability to execute your plan? - Explain how working with others (if applicable) influenced the outcome of your project.
– Share any key takeaways about leadership, communication, or group dynamics.
– Will you use the STEAM Investigative Process and Community On Demand Skill Cards in future projects? - Discuss how these tools helped structure your approach and whether you would use them again.
– Mention any adjustments you would make in how you apply them.
– What did you learn about your leadership and decision-making style? - Reflect on how you handled decision-making, challenges, and strategic planning.
– Identify any leadership strengths or areas for improvement.
Step 3: Engage With Your Peers (2-3 sentences)
Review at least two classmates’ posts and respond with feedback, encouragement, or questions. Offer insights into how their experiences compare to yours and suggest ways they might apply their skills in future projects.
Example Comment:
“I really liked how you used problem-solving and financial literacy to adjust your plan when resources were tight. Do you think these skills will be useful in a different type of project, like launching a business?”Once you’ve reviewed your post, submit it to the discussion board and participate in the discussion by providing thoughtful responses to your peers.
