Junior Executive Management Teams
Application Request Form
The purpose of this application is to start a Junior Executive Management (JEM) Team with your organization.
Requirements
- Junior Executive Management (JEM) Teams are considered pre-apprenticeships that carry out work-based, project-based and service-learning experiences for real community challenges.Â
- Training sessions are recommended to last between 45-90 minutes per session at least twice a week and last up to 12 weeks.
- Students will be expected to exercise the skills learned within the Build For Your Future curriculum to develop impact solutions that address challenges that may be positively or negatively impacting their community.
- JEM Teams will participate in The Stakeholder’s Dilemma — a community engagement game that include activities on how to write a winning mission statement, develop a business plan, build a project management (JEM) team and implement an impact solution that could ultimately become a social venture.
- Advanced training requires the purchase of The Money Guide for Young Entrepreneurs Activity Workbook, online courses, and other Community On Demand learning tools to guide students through all four modules of The Build For Your Future curriculum.Â
Training Materials
JEM Teams use the following Community On Demand (CoD) Game-Based Learning Tools:
- CoD Card Deck is an innovative 72-pc pocket-size deck of cards that use five color-coded achievement domains to help learners quickly define, measure, build and name their high-demand skills.
- Build For Your Future Online Course  is the online course series that provides in-depth digital visuals, audio tracks, and activity worksheets and provides a robust modular learning experience.
- The Stakeholder’s Dilemma Game Board is a down-loadable project-based skill building tool that makes collaborating and team-building fun as it uses the Community On Demand card game to help learners visually assess the skills and resources they have, need and use to successfully complete any project.
- Activity Worksheets are designed to help learners track the growth of their skills based on how they use them to complete tasks and activities (service goals) during their service-learning project.
- Money Guide for Young Entrepreneurs Activity Workbook is the official textbook for the Community On Demand card game and Build For Your Future curriculum. It provides eight challenges to help young innovators assess their STEAM skills, build project teams, create career-building opportunities, implement impact solutions, and launch new social ventures.
