Compassion Ambassadors are needed to conduct acts of kindness during the development of the International Village Atwood Model at the DeKalb International Student Center.
Service Sessions:
9:00a – 11:45a Morning Session
1:00p – 2:00p Lunchtime Service-Learning Hour
3:00p – 3:45p Work Study Training Course
Compassion Ambassadors will serve as:
[icon type=”check”] Reading buddies to help international students learn to read and write in English (Grades 3-8)
[icon type=”check”] Classroom teacher aides to help international students with all school subjects (Grades 3-12)
[icon type=”check”] Project helpers to help design, draw and paint murals of international flags
[icon type=”check”] Project helpers to help design, draw and paint murals of life skill instructions (directional signage for hallways, bathrooms, etc.)
[icon type=”check”] Helpers for all garden and beautification projects
[icon type=”check”] Mentors for our work study training course (STEM++, vocational trade, and business professionals needed)
[icon type=”check”] Helpers to organize and call bank for our Giving Tree in-school clothing and food donation program
