About APPLES Alternative Breaks
APPLES Alternative Breaks will provide an avenue for 12 students to perform service activities across North Carolina, the Southeast and the Mid-Atlantic. This group will be led by student organizers that work collaboratively with NEXT Steps to engage in a chosen focus area and learn more about their destination community. |
About Break Away
We believe there’s no limit to the change you can bring to our world. If you’re educated about the social issues we face, and if you get to know the individuals for whom those issues are reality, you’re an alternative breaker. If you reflect on how that knowledge and those experiences inform your values and your life choices, you’ll be changed forever. That’s active citizenship. We’re proud to partner with diverse students and communities, universities and organizations to spark the personal transformations that can make a lasting difference for individuals, organizations, and communities. |
The NEXT Steps Youth Entrepreneur Program has been a community partner of the Atlanta Break Away — Alternative Breaks organization since 2012.
